Compared with the unmanned helicopter, the manned helicopter enjoys rich equipment types, complete product spectrum, and mature platform. High-Reliability FCS Design

The flight control and management system (FCMS) is developed based on the redundancy and fault tolerance technology. With this multiple redundant FCMS, key components can be configured based on dual redundancy or triplex redundancy technology so as to guarantee superior safety level for critical systems that are closely related to the flight safety. By virtue of fault-tolerant reconfiguration, the helicopter is still capable of safe flight.

Mature Maintenance and Support System

The support system and supply of spare and accessory parts similar to those for the original manned helicopter can be adopted because the original system is mature and the team can be reused. The newly developed FCS adopts 2-level maintenance system as well as the maintenance and test equipment. The mean time to repair (MTTR) for organizational-level maintenance is shorter than 1.5 hours. Installation, connection, and performance of the system's line replaceable unit (LRU) and shop replaceable unit (SRU) are interchangeable.

High Loading Capacity

In case of modification from manned helicopter to unmanned one, the cockpit can be used to carry and transport diversified equipment or supplies. The loading capacity is improved accordingly. Moreover, common mechanical and data interfaces are reserved. Taking the advantage of high loading capacity, miscellaneous mission equipment can be configured flexibly so as to satisfy extensive industrial application demands.
